I am confused about the TN visa. Here is my story.

I have been offered a job as a Vice President of Technology for a mid size US company. I will manage technology but not people. I intend to live in Canada and visit customers on both sides of the boarder. I have a chemistry degree and a business degree. The job is not temporary but permanent.

From what I have read in this web site, the TN is for temporary jobs. I want to renew it each year.

Can I qualify for a TN?

What should the letter look like? What do I tell the agent if he asks about permanent vs temporary?

Does anyone have an example of what the employer letter should look like?

I have done several management position (functional and traditional) TNs. If you would like I can email you a copy of a sample case, of course the name-specific information is blacked out to protect client confidentiality.

I could also post it on this message board if anyone else is interested.

Management TNs are difficult.
