Connect2Canada

The Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC, has just launched a new initiative called Connect2Canada (http://www.connect2canada.com/) for Canadians living in the United States. It is a way for Canadians to stay connected with home and other Canadians in the U.S. and to keep informed about key issues in Canada-U.S. relations.

Hello Dan,

This is a good initiative. However, I feel that by organizing more events (i.e. informal get-togethers) for Canadians, the Embassy would profit by making contacts within the Canadian community. Some of us may have influence.

We (the Canadians in DC and vicinity) can help by lobbying. I, personally, have no contact at the Embassy, have never been approached and feel that the Embassy is doing very little in keeping in touch. I wish the Embassy were more active.

Cheers,
Canuck in DC
