Could i get a canadian/british passport????

please could anyone with the knowledge please let me know if im elegible for a dual passport... i have a grandad who lives in Vancouver and has lived there since about 1960. He is obvioulsy a citizen and i was born in the UK. is this enough for me to be able to get the dual passport....?????

However I doubt it, one of your parents can probably claim Canadian citizenship but if they don't live in Canada I think it's going to be tricky for them to sponsor you for LPR status.

Just because he's lived in Canada for that long doesn't necessarily mean he's a Canadian citizen. My Dad lived in Canada for 50 years before he bothered to apply for citizenship. And then he only did so he'd be eligible for welfare

However, as Steven said, derivative citizenship is only thru parents, not grandparents, so unless one or both of your parents are citizens, you are not eligible.
