CR1 visa & I-130 Form

Hi,
I am a canadian with a US citizen abroad certificate and I am not sure which application (CR1 visa & I-130 Form)I should complete for my wife. We are planning on moving to California from Toronto which currently has the hightest cost of living in North America.

I came into the USA on a CR-1,but that was back in 2004 and things have changed! VJ is free to join and it is a great bunch of people--at least in the canada section,lol

If you are a legal permanent resident in Canada, then you could file your petition at the US consulate in Toronto. It goes a lot quicker that way than filing it to a USCIS service centre. You have to make an appointment I think, but check their website for info. http://www.amcits.com/toronto.asp
