Credit ratings???

I am a Canadian citizen who has been living in the states for 12 years. Now looking to move back to Canada and I was wondering if my credit rating here in the states transfers over to Canada or am I back to square one since I left Canada when I was 20 and didn't have any credit?

On Visajourney, some cdns have had luck banking with RBC, then opening a RBC account in the USA and having their cdn credit for the most part following them to the USA. It might work the other way as well.

I am planning on moving back to Canada after working in the US for 15yrs. I am a permanent US resident and I was wondering what happens to my Canadian credit. Can I just start over again if my credit is less than stellar in the US? Do the credit reporting agencies have my US SSN and Candaian SIN cross referenced? Can I start working to establishing a good Canadian credit now before I officially return to Canada?

Your credit rating in canadais not as crucila as it is in US.
Whne you return, Cdn creditors will look at your cureent income and debts ti determine if you get a loan or not.

Its not ties to a number like in US.
