currency exchanging

I am moving back to Canada after 12 years here and I have around £100,000 to move over.

I was thinking if someone was moving here and had money to move over we could find a solicitor and exchange our money through them and save thousands on the brutal exchange costs. I figure it should be easy and safe as we would simply have the lawyers hold both parties money until the funds are cleared then they simply transfer the money to our banks.

has anyone heard of a site or service that does this?

Is anyone moving here who would be interested at looking into this with me?

I figure even with lawyers fees we could save £2000-£3000 each
