day visit standards? do day visits get stamped?

Post Sun Jun 15, 2008 4:45 am

once someone has been denied for a longer visit because they didn't believe they would return, will they be allowed for a day visit (i.e. shopping, buying gasoline, visiting family) or are the standards just as rigid? do day visits get stamped/scanned?

thank you

if you have a prior denial, any subsequent attempted visit could be denied on the same grounds.

If you're driving across for a day tript is up to the discretion of the officer in the booth if you will be sent to secondary. If you are sent to secondary, they will look up your ID anmd see your previous denial. Its up to you to prove that you will be leaving the country when you say you will. Having ample ties to Canada is the only way to do that.
