denied no expla/doc - can officer revoke valid previous TN?

Post Thu Jun 12, 2008 12:06 pm

Just went to Peace Bridge for the 1st time as a Management Consultant. I've done two successful apps in person and one paper renewal.

This last one was rejected, I think it had more to do with the agent than the situation (because they've all been the same). He told me to come back if I want to see the NAFTA specialist between 8-4 M-F (I was there at around 3:00pm).

He'd mentioned he wanted to revoke my other (still valid) TN because he didn't agree with why the other agents (and the processing center) thought of my case.

Is that possible? If I return can he/she bar me from future access eventhough I've got two concurrent valid TNs?

I'm now thinking of just paying the $1320.00 for doing it by mail and expediting the processing (but can this be done, it will be my first TN with this employer - but I currently have valid nonimmigrant TN status.

Any help would be appreciated - my nerves are shot.

thanks.

I believe they can revoke a valid TN, it happened to me at Detroit. After two successful TN applications (both at Detroit), the third (a job I wanted to move to) was rejected and my valid TN revoked on the spot. Things got worse when the agent saw I had a KY licence (obtained with no problems in KY after written and road tests, a second agent actually started yelling at me at the counter for having one, ugly, ugly scene)and needless to say, it was a harrowing experience. I was never threatened with a bar, and have gone on to obtain two TN's since, but each time, the Detroit incident is mentioned and explained again, even though, at the time, the agent assured me the revocation was done "without prejudice".

At any time any immigrant or non immigrant status can be revoked, even for no reason. Rarely would it result in a out and out bar from the country though, unless you really piss them off by arguing with them.

I think I've read in previous posts here that Management Consultant jobs are tricky for TNs. You might want to do a search thru the threads here.
