Departure after TN not to Canada

Hey,

I'm a Canadian on TN, but plan to leave the US upon completion of TN from the US straight to another non-Canada country. Does anyone know if I could turn in my I-94 upon departure at the airport or must I go into Canada and turn it in at that Port of Entry?
