Difficulty in finding jobs?

Post Wed Jul 04, 2007 8:02 pm

Hi, my name's Nadia and I'm 20 years old. I'm planning to move to Germany in March 2008 (Frankfurt area). How easy is it to find a job? I don't speak German but I catch on quick. I only speak English, Russian, and a little bit of French. I've got a lot of experience in the Restaurant business, as I am a Supervisor at a local restaurant in the city.

I'd be staying with family for the first little while but I'd like to find a job ASAP and get my own place. Even if it's working in a bar or something? How difficult is it for a Canadian to find a job in Germany?

I don't know about the Frankfurt area. but it's not all to find a job, you need to get a Visa. Usually to get a work Visa (work permit whatever), your employer needs to prove that he could not find nobody else in Germany and in the EU to do your job. So before moving here you should try to get the more information possible so you don't come here for nothing.

Duh. Thank you, I know I need more information. I was never planning on just picking up and leaving if that's what your implying. I was just wondering about the job market.
