I know this is -positively ridiculous- to ask because there are so many posts on it, but at the moment, I'm stressing like crazy because I was just informed I have to move a month earlier than I had o...

I'm in awww for the UK Visa application process. You won't believe this story!

So. boyfriend goes to VAC in Toronto last friday, so March 28 @ 3:00. Was told he would get an email on Monday confirming the receipt of papers, and the max it will take is 3 months.

He got a call yesterday, @ 5:30 asking a few questions, and then ends it off with. You have been approved, your papers are coming back courier.

It took ONE DAY for a settlement visa. UNBELIEVABLE. wohooo I'm so excited!

Had to share my good news! =)

Urk. I'm in disgust with the Post right now, then. I still haven't even received a call saying my package made it to Ottawa, and the girl who sent her application off at the same time hasn't heard back either. It should have arrived yesterday. =\ I'm a -leetle- bit worried.

Congrats LittleMapes! Great news!

Tigerlea - hang in there! This is the canadian post system after all - we'll keep our fingers crossed for you - it sounds like you were extremely prepared, so I have little doubt things will go smoothly for you :0)

PS. As an offered suggestion why yours is taking longer, littlemapes sent hers from Ontario - Being from Alberta, even though it's registered, I could see it taking longer.

*happy dance* I just got an e-mail saying I was approved! Dang, took long enough. But I'm excited, and happy. And I REALLY hope they remember to post-date it. >.> Hahaha.

So my friend and I were both approved. My ticket is booked for June 17th and it's off to Surrey I go, and my friend leaves April 26th to London. Well. Happy. I'll be sure to try and help other people out as well, now that I've finally gotten through the whole process. Smile

Wow it's sound like everyone here is really on top of everything in terms of applying. I didn't think it was this difficult.

I am going to be applying tomorrow for my Ancestry Visa to UK. I have:
my passport
my birth certificate
my mother's birth certificate (she was born in uk)
my parents(cnd)marriage license
my grandparents (uk)marriage license

I didn't think I needed more then this?

Once I apply on visa4uk site. I print that out and send the application and all the documents above to Ottawa.right?

Then I pay online.

Then I make an appointment to get my finger prints and face scan in Toronto?.right?

Then I just wait for the approval.correct?

I feel I am missing major steps here but am soo confused?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

THANK SO MUCH!
