I know this is -positively ridiculous- to ask because there are so many posts on it, but at the moment, I'm stressing like crazy because I was just informed I have to move a month earlier than I had originally planned--taking away this next month of taking my time to have my application put together--and now have to apply for my visa TONIGHT or tomorrow night. So I really just don't want to screw up. >.>

I wrote down a list of all the paperwork I need, and this is what I have:
  • bank statements
  • last years tax return
  • 3 to 6 months of pay stubs
  • statement from emplo9yer of yearly salary (if they'll give it to me)
  • signed letter of intent
  • copies of educational certificates
  • job search emails
  • copy of CV
  • original birth certificates of self, dad, grandparent
  • original marriage certificates of parents, grandparents
  • fee receipt (proof of payment)
  • passport
  • recent passport sized photo
  • supporting documents of place to stay while I am there
  • supporting documents of my registration to an employment agency

PLEASE tell me if I have everything, ASAP, or if I'm forgetting anything, because right now I REALLY need some help from some other people going through this. I thought I was prepared, until yesterday.

Thank you -so- much.

PS ~ Also if anyone knows of how to move boxes over there for cheap without using the airlines, that'd also be very helpful. thanks.

Seriously Tiger. you are way over prepared.

Just make sure to print off your application form once you've submitted it to take with you to your biometrics appointment. You are more than fine.

Take a deep breath and relax as hard as it is right now. You will be approved just get your application in. Smile

I'm flying out tomorrow. ( Yay ) So I won't be able to respond much for awhile, but good luck!

Can't help with the boxes I'm afraid. I'm buying most of my stuff whilst over there. Sad

Er. New quick question, also important-like.

My biometrics is this coming week, so I need some answers from people who have gone through this. I had lunch today with a friend of a friend who is also applying for UK Ancestry. She actually -called- Ottawa at some point and paid the whole $12 to talk to someone about all this. That person said that she needed to have a savings statement printout from her bank SIGNED by a bank official (I'm sure a teller would just do).

Has anyone acgtually done this before who has already been approved? I just printed off bank statements from online--will that do, or do I have ot go to the bank and get a signed printout of my current finances?

This was the first I heard of it, so I just want to know if anyone else who was already approved for UK Ancestry (or any other Visa) has done this. thanks!#

PS ~ Thanks for your help Riverfox. Smile

I got the signed statement when I applied for my WHM visa, but just printed off copies of my banking statements and included my most recent bank statement in the package.

I was approved without having the sworn statemtent. So I'm relatively sure that it would be ideal to have this but not completely necessary. I would however include an original bank statement just to prove the print outs you sent are legit. Smile

Good luck. Smile

Hi Tigerlea!

Sounds like you are quite prepared! I'm just about to send my paperwork in too! Curious as to what the tax assessment is for? Other than that, I'm submitting pretty much everything that you are.

Hope that helps!

I just read it somewhere that it's a useful bit to put into your application. I honestly don't know what it's for, but I guess it's to show past income that you've acquired and to prove you're not just a deadbeat who's only been working a few months. (Unless of course you just finished school, but that's also on a tax return) Razz
