Hi there,

I am 16 years old and i am in my last year of highschool. After highschool i am planning on moving to france since i also speak french. I was wondering if anyone knew what i would need to do to move there from canada. Do you think that I should go to collage/ university first and then move? And also do i need to get sponsored, and if so how do i do that?
thanks
jen

I think it's a good idea to get school over and done with but the great thing is that a lot of schools have semesters abroad where you can study in the country of your choice. It's a good way to learn about the place you plan on living in. Also, it'll be easier to get a job with an education. If you're parents were born in Europe, you might be eligible for a European passport which makes it easier to find a job too. Otherwise, there's a working holiday visa that you should be eligible for when you're 18.
It's great that you're thinking about this at so young and age, it's a great experience and could really shape the rest of your life, you'll love it.
Good luck
