Hi there,

I am a Canadian Resident looking to move down the USA in May. I have extensive managerial experience in the Food And Beverage industry, I was a General Manager in my fathers restaurant for many years. I am now working in the insurance industry as an insurance broker. I recently met the love of my life, she is from the USA. We plan on getting married sometime next year, but we want to live together in May. I have contacted many Brokerages in the USA, but won't hire me until i get my permanent residency card. So I was wondering since I worked for so many years in the restaurant industry, would i qualify for a TN visa? If so what sort of documents would i need? Would a ROE suffice? Also too, while i am down there if I get a TN Visa, and we do get married, how long does it take to get a green card through the marriage route? And if I get married can i still apply for a TN Visa extension while my application for the Green Card through marriage is being processed? I am still going down in may and stay there for awhile to look for a job. What can i do?

I don't think restaurant manager qualifies for TN visa, unless you have some sort of restaurant management business degree.

Have you looked into the K1 fiance visa? Check out the info at http://www.visajourney.com for marriage based immigration
