Do you want to return to Canada?

Hi Dear fellow Canadians: Does anyone of you feel like returning to Canada? I have been out of country for more then 3 years, and somehow, it feels like Canadian life is better. What's your opinion...

The worst part is everyone assumes you know what's going on, e.g. with politics, I didn't even have a clue who the PM had been.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think that I will get back into the swing of things, it's just going to take time. I know I am still going to have a great desire to go overseas again and for awhile. There is so much of the world I would like to see and I still would love to go back to France.
We'll see what happens, but I know right now I need to concentrate on getting back into the swing of things here.
Nice to know I'm not the only one who has felt out of the look.
Thanks

Actually thinking about it, the worst thing about moving all over the place is missing certain foods.

I actually sat down to dinner a few weeks ago and realised I had food and drink I had personally purchased in four different cities in three different countries in front of me!

God knows what my carbon footprint is, but it's BIG.

I suspect I'm also the only person in Canada who likes TAB. Saccharin is apparently a prohibited food additive in Washington, so they don't bottle it in the NW and I have a long drive to get some.

You can get Kraft macaroni & cheese in the UK, don't they have it in Ireland? Could never stand it to be honest, plus it's easier to do pasta with cheese the old-fashioned way, imo.

We are definitely coming back in a few years to be close to family and have kids of our own. (I miss healthcare too).

Ok c153, lets not get carried away. Canada is not that bad. I know I'm not overly keen on being back in the country myself, but it takes some readjusting and it takes time. I know I'm still adjusting.
There are some great things here in Canada. I don't think that this country sucks. It has a lot to offer. People are friendly here (though maybe don't value friendship the same way as other countries, or as much as we should). Maybe your field of work doesn't have a lot to offer in TO. Be open. Go to China, then tell me if there are too many orientals. Multiculturalism is what makes up this country. You should know that. You are not a native "canadian". And really how many of us are? I know I go back about 4 generations, but I know I have other backgrounds.
Anyway, I just think you are a little harsh. Why do you think this way? Maybe if you explain why all this "sucks" then I would understand better, but either way I disagree as much as I would love to live in a certain other country myself.
