Does the TN letter have to say 'Computer Systems Analyst'?

Post Fri Aug 14, 2009 9:06 am

In real life, people with a variety of titles such as process analyst, process engineer, solution architect, service designer, project manager do CSA type of work.

Does the TN letter have to use the exact word 'computer systems analyst' instead?

Thanks.

The question is...are you a CSA?

What is it you will be doing?

The job duties = CSA's as described in the handbook

The job title is not exactly 'computer systems analyst'. Would it be an issue?

Hello,

I can confirm we got multiple clients across the border with a job that was not exactly what was mentionned. The honest truth is that you need to show that you are qualified to get the job.

Although a TN can be easy to obtain when you match all the requirements, you should let qualified immigration lawyers deal with cases such as yours. Most of the time, our clients would never have been granted a TN with the resume and papers they had. You need a resume that shows that you are a X expert about to get an X job.

If you need any help with this, PM me.

CSA is the TN category. The internal job description does not have to be expicitly "CSA". However, in describing your duties, these should clearly be those of a CSA.

A resume is never required for TN. In categories whichj allow experience to be used to qualify, only experience letters are acceptable.

Yes. Lawyers do know how to bend the truth to make anything fit. What would we do without them.

Troubling indeed.

It is one thing to correct a poorly-worded petition to reflect the true situation. It is another thing to fudge the truth (ie. lie like a lawyer) to circumvent the regulations.
