Well..let me tell you something. I love Wales and stuff.. having a great time in the North West in general. But if I had a choice, I'd move in Ulster. such a beautiful area!
Beautiful villages like Donaghadee and Bangor..
Really loved it!

hey nadia,
I an an ex pat (british) living in ireland, just happened to come across this site,.
Dublin is expensive since it adopted the Euro you will pay about 600 euro for a flat ($900) approx or $1500 a month for a good apartment.
electricity is about e30 a month and you don't pay council tax so that's a plus. i'd suggest a holiday first then see if you would like to move and i have to say irish are not as friendly as they would have you beleive, but there again i'm English so you'd be ok being canadian.
hope this helps you.[/b]

Go for it! But be prepared to save a chunk of money, it's expensive. It's better to have a job before you go (maybe look into local CDN companies that have an office there) but if you're serious, then I'd say, take a few months to visit and check the market out in person. You'll probably get more of a chance for an interview than sitting in Canada.

Good luck
