Hi there, I know most of these posts were written about 6 months ago or longer, but I've got a question about my BC license. I've got my class 7 license (Novice Stage of the BC GLP [graduated licensing program]), which has restrictions on the number of passengers I can carry, and a zero alcohol tolerence, but will I be able to drive with it in the UK for those 12 months? Or will I need to get my class 5?

I'm pretty sure it would be considered a provisional licence in the UK, which basically means a training licence. There would be no benefit in trying to swap it, you'd essentially be starting over again from scratch.

So yes, get a full Class 5 first and get proof at the same time that it covers you for manual transmissions.
Steve.

Does anyone know who is the cheapest to insure with in the UK?

My partner has a UK licence with Diamond and they want 150 pounds for 10 months cover to add me using my Canadaian License. I don't want to swap my license to a UK one as it means relinquishing my Candadian one forever.
