I was born in 1974, but by what one Forum member wrote before, I am eligble to get a dual citizenship? They told me know when my mother and me were doing all of it.I think I am more behind the times on this situation then I thought!

I'm having a bit of a problem as well. My maternal grandmother was born in Glasgow but my mom was adopted in Quebec. I'm not sure how this is going to work as all of Quebec's adoption records are sealed.

I'm hearing a lot of conflicting answers about all of this. Would anyone have any extra info, sites or offices I should go and visit?

You'd be eligible for an Ancestry Visa to the UK if you can get your grandmother's birthcertificate. There's lots of info around here about that one.

Ok.
Both of my parents were born in England in the fifties, both of their families moved to Canada in the 60's, when my parents were still very young. My father has either his landed immigrant status or outright Canadian Citizenship, it was done by my grandmother when he was young.
My mother however, never had the paperwork filled out and actually almost got deported back to England a few years ago, she had to do a bunch of paperwork and I believe she now has landed immigrant status. I was born in 1984. I'm a Canadian Citizen, but I'm wondering how easy it would be for me to get dual citizenship with Britain.
I'm gonna find out more details about my parents status tomorrow. Oh, and my family tree stretches far back in England's past (think hundreds of years). with the odd person from other parts of the UK such as Scotland/Ireland(not many though, mainly English). I also have quite a bit of family in England, great aunts/uncles, and second cousins.
I'm pretty sure I'd qualify for Right to Abode easily, given what I've said, what do you guys think about Dual Citizenship in my case?

My mum was born in London in 1935, moved to Canada in the 50's. I was born in Toronto in 1969. My father is not British, he is German. If it matters, my mum has never become a Canadian citizen, she has always retained her British Citizenship.
Would I still be able to qualify to work and live in the UK? Does anyone know a link that I can visit to start the process?
I am just outside of Toronto, would it be worth a visit to the British Embassy or can I do everything online?
Thanks so much!

My mum was born in England, does that mean I'd be able to get my Dual Citizenship?
And how would I go about getting it?
