irs.gov or just do a web search. Make sure you use the correct form for each year, the IRS can mail them to you if you phone them but they take ages to send them out.

I was born in the US and lived there until I was about one and a half, does that count? I've got an appointment at the consulate this wednesday, and I want to get my paperwork in order, so what else will I need to get my son's citizenship paperwork started? will he need to be at the appointment? also will my wife have to be there when I file the 1-130?

It doesn't sound like you child qualifies due to your lack of time in the US, I'm not sure it makes a fat lot of difference though because you have to sponsor your wife so you just include your child as a dependent.

Just looking for an opinion here, but is it worth it to hire an immigration lawyer?

From the sounds of it you're in a rush, so it might be if you haven't got time to wrap your head around it, because it is quite easy to make a mistake and forget to include something.

All consular offices require an in-person appearance by both the petitioner and the beneficiary, some by appointment only.
