http://www.amcits.com/index.asp and find out about the registration of birth abroad to get him a US birth certificate. This is normally done when the child is first born, rather than 20 odd years later, but I think they should be able to process it anyhow, with copies of your son's birth certificate and a copy of your birth certificate and record of how long you were out of the US before your son was born. I believe if you were out of the country for xx number of years, he would not be eligible for US citizenship based on your birth.
