DWP National Insurance Office

Hi there!

I'm going to set up a new NIN (National Insurance Number) for myself, but the DWP website confuses the hell out of me. I live near Wandsworth. Where's the closest office!?!?!?

Assuming you need a number for work, I believe you must ring 0845 600 0643 between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday and have them quiz you and post an application form to you. (Have your passport, visa and address handy. You'll need to complete the form in black ink.)

If you need it to claim benefits go to your local Jobcentre Plus office.
