E-2 Visa to open a restaurant in the US

Here is my situation

Myself along with 4 other people wish to open a franchised restaurant in the united states.

-One will be a silent partner who is a US citizen
-One will be a silent partner and will remain in Canada
-One will be a operating partner and already has a Green Card
-Myself with the other peson will own about 10% of the company and wish to obtain E-2 Visas to move to the US and manage the restaurant.

The restaurant will cost $500 000 to $800 000 to open. It is a franchise operation and our plans are 2 open 2-3 restaurants in the next 5 years

My question is will it be possible to for myself and the other partner will who own 10% to obtain E-2 Visa's?

Any help would be appreciated.

Generally, the person seeking E-2 must own 50% of the business, so neither of you would get E-2.

The only way 2 foreign persons cab get E-2 for the same business is if they each own 50%, with no other partners.

Even having a 50-50 partnership with a US citizen can be problemetic, but would be acceptable in most cases.

of course, since you are willing to sink some funds into this, I would bypass our amateur opnions and talk with a aseasoned immig atty.

Ya what the other guy said about 50% ownership and canadians are not elgible for e2 only e1
