Hi

Has anyone had a good experience living in the U.S with an investor visa ?
My wife & I with 3 children, ages 3,5 & 9 are deciding the best way to apply but the options seem somewhat limiting and as far as I understand one cannot gain permanent residency with the E2. Oh & I do not have the 100,000 for the immigrant visa.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

That's not an E-2, an EB-5 (Immigrant investor) requires a minimum investment of $1,000,000 or $500,000 in targeted areas. The E-2 requires a substantial investment, more than enough to make a living for the investor and his or her family. This means for a service-based business, $50,000 may be enough. It depends on the nature of the business you are investing in or purchasing.
