Hi there fellow Canadians

Not sure if you are aware but there is a group of E2 visa holders who are banding together to have a bill drawn up in Congress to make E2, able to be changed to permanent status. If you are interested in supporting please let me know.

Hi Reba

An E2 visa is an investors visa which is valid for anywhere between 2-5 years. The investor has to employ Americans and contribute to the US economy. Just google it and you will find out everything you need to know.

I was just curious, I'd never heard of it.

Personally though, I'd prefer if monied Canadians keep their money and create jobs in Canada. Why buy themselves into the US?

With how Americans feel towards Immigration, it may be a hard sell. Best of luck

I find it interesting you took my comment negatively! I wished you "good luck" and meant it in a positive manner. Immigration just isn't seen in a positive manner in many parts of the USA. I guess many just figure there relatives were hatched here! And yes My attitude is very "Canadian" it is very positive and I do not judge people on their color or where they live, or where they come from. Was very proud to serve 15 yrs in the Canadian Armed Forces. I refuse to be "Americanized"! Even though due to my wife's career path, I will be submitting paperwork to become a USA citizen this fall, but will always be proudly Canadian! Best of luck on ur journey.
