Hi everyone, I've been trying to get information about geting a British Passport, but not finding a clear enough answer.

Anyways my question is - I was born a British Citizen in September of 1982. We moved to Canada when I was young and my Family later became Canadian Citizens. I was wondering if I'm eligble in obtaining a British Passport as a Britsh-born now Canadian Citizen?

Absolutely! You are completely entitled to a British passport. First things first, if you don't already have one, obtain your birth cert. from where ever you were born. Now, I just read that if you were born in the UK before 1983, you don't need to supply your long form birth certif. (they might not have issued them then)

Secondly, if your parents got married in the UK, you might have to obtain their marriage certificate from said place. You will probably have to make a trip to the british consulate nearest you.

But look here for what you need and more details

That is true. I have a british passport because my father was born in glasgow. I went through the british embassy in Ottawa (i did live on the same street as the embassy so it was convenient) and it was pretty straight forward.
