Elizabethe schule gymnasium in Frankfurt

One of the options for my 15 year old Canadian daughter relocating with me to Frankfurt is to go to 10th grade at the Elizabetheschule in Nordend where there is a 1 year integration program for foreigners. I was wondering if anyone had any experience in how this school works and whether it was a good choice for you? The other choice seems to be at ISF in Sindlingen. There is no room at FIS in Oberursel.

I went through some kind of integration program when I moved to Germany. It's something like ESL in Canada, you focus on learning the language. The only downside to it is that nobody speaks german so you cant really practice it with peers unless you know somebody outside the class.
I think it was a fairly good choice, it helped me learn the language and a little culture and introduced me to how schools work in Germany. I did have to study and work on my german at home. Sometimes the best way for me to "study" german at home was to watch a movie in english with german subtitles, I learned a lot of sayings and some german slang, helped me a lot with everyday conversation.

I will be relocating to the Koln area in Germany with my son who at the time of relocation, will be 15. He will have finished grade 9 in Ontario and I want him to continue his studies in Gymnasium as it is the only high school which leads to university entrance I have heard, and it is the only type of school which goes beyong grade 10. Does anyone have experience with the school system and the integration of 15 yrs olds in the German school system and its success rate. Thanks.
