EMPLOYMENT LAW IN CANADA.

I am desperately looking for advice on the following. I am a brit who lives in the USA. I worked for an American company who own a Canadian company. I worked at the Canadian based company but still lived in the USA as it was only 20kM's away.

What employment law am I covered by. USA or Canadian?

I'm pretty sure you are covered by American law if it is an American company. Even if it is on Canadian soil. I'm sure you can check your contract if you signed one. Also, don't be shy, ask a supervisor, or someone who would know, its ok not to know something, as long as you try to find out.

A cdn-based company is a Cdn company, regardless of where you live.

The question is so vague as to defy an answer.
