Hi all,

My wife and I are in China teaching at a university in Jiangsu province about two and a half hours west of Shanghai. We have been here since last August and have been enjoying ourselves immensely. We've been well treated and have decided to stay another year at our university where we teach English. We teach at the ChangZhou Institute of Technology, a college that has a student population of about 11,000 students. Pay is typical for any college or university in China, enough to enjoy living and touring in this interesting country.

We are retired and feel free to wander the globe as the whim takes us. If you have any questions, just ask.

Hi,
I'm currently teaching at an accredited school in Shenzhen and am considering accepting a teaching position at a high school in Changzhou. I've also taught at Nantong University in Nantong, Jiansu which is north of Wuxi on the other side of the river.

Here's my dilemma. The new position requires 25 hrs per week and at the typical 'Chinese' salary. What are your thoughts on the environment, other positions in the area?
