Enter US after charged in Canada

can any one please tell me if someone who is a temp Worker in Canada and has been charged for Asault will be allowed to enter US if he is having US visa . My cousin is in India and he has been Charged IN canada and he left the Country , will he be able to Enter US ?[:)]

Not likely, no. The US authorities will have access to the Canadian criminal record when they scan his ID.

They check CPIC so if it's a serious enough offence to go into CPIC they will know about it.

Sexual Assault is definately something that may been in the system should your friend try and enter the US through customs. I say this because a few years back, we took a coach bus into Buffalo to do some shopping. A guy on the bus who had a serious offence on record (Not sure what is was) was refused entry. The bus went ahead without him. The rumour was domestic violence but the point of it all is, it was in the system, CBP saw it, and they didn't allow him entry.

I wouldn't bring it up unless asked about it. If he is asked about it, I suggest he/she tells the truth.
