Hi There,
Would any one have an answer to my question? I had applied for an entry visa to the U.K. I got an e-mail response back from OTTAZVisaInfo@fco.gov.uk stating that "a deceison has been made to my application" but it did not say whether it was approved or declined. does any one know what that might mean. I would think that they would be more specific.
Has anyone gotten that same response and they had their visa approved. or must the e-mail say that the visa has been approved. please advice. kind regards

If it doesn't say "your entry clearance has been issued" in the first line, you have not been approved. Did you submit long form copies of birth certificates (if applicable)?

thanks for the response

I got my passport back, and I did not get an entry visa. I am a canadian citizen. Should I be appealing this and what are my chances, since i was refused re-entry in the u.k the first time. I had gone on a 3 day trip to dubai

thanks

I would appeal- what kind of a visa are you applying for, and does it give reasons for why you were rejected? If you want, send me a PM.

Hello - I just had my visa denied as well. I realized that the reason was because I had applied for the wrong visa.

Before you appeal, you may want to consider the other types of visas you could apply for.

I doubt your visit to Dubai would have made a difference.

I've applied for a Tier 1 General Visa. Did a lot of research and hopefully have met all the requirements. Received an email September 10th saying that my documents have arrived and are being processed, no contact since Sad.

How long did it take to get a response once you had sent in your application?

Also, if you're unsure about your application and appeal try looking into an immigration lawyer, I've heard it's money well spent if you're unsure what your option are.
