I originally moved from Texas to be with my boyfriend in Toronto..I am a us citizen....we are both young and were very naive about immigration processes..I met someone who claimed to be a lawyer and paid them to do my paperwork and get work papers...anyways long story short I am excluded from Canada until 2/2012. I was told the only way i can come back is to either get married or have a job offer. I have not seen my bf since then because he is a perm Canadian residence and ended up losing his passport..We decided that instead of him trying to get his passport from his country, it would be wise now for him to apply for Canadian citizenship. My question is being that i am excluded and he cannot come here, how is it that we can get married in order to do paperwork that will allow me to come back to Canada? I am aware in order to go back to Canada i will still need to get special permission..will they allow me to come down just to do the marriage and come back home and do the paperwork..while I finish nursing school? Since 3/2011 I started working for a company that has offices in British Columbia..that would allow me to transfer if I wanted. I am just confused and do not know how to go about this...any information would be helpful.
