I was convicted by summary conviction in Canada (misdemeanor) of driving while impaired (dui in the US) 5 years ago. At the same time I was charged with summary conviction of possession of 0.06 grams of marijuana. The drug charges were dropped and I pleaded guilty to the driving charges, my license was suspended for 1 year with a $600 fine. I have not traveled to the states since and was pardoned for the driving offence last year. I was accepted to grad school in nyc and have just recieved my I-20 form. Will my past record (now aparently erased) cause problems for me?
