FHA mortgage for non-resident

Post Sun Oct 04, 2009 7:47 am

Hi All,
I'm on a TN, soon to be H-1, and was wondering if it's possible to get an FHA mortgage given that I'm a non-resident. There doesn't seem to be an explicit policy against this, but they do require being able to demonstrate employment the last 2 years (most of which were in Canada).
Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks

Just get a mortgage. I got one before moving to US on TN , and have had 5 refis since then (4 on H1).

My rate has always been the best available. FHA is not the be all and end all.
