Finding a job in London and Q about YMS

I guess it's on everyone's mind nowadays. I'm moving to UK in January with YMS and hoping for the best. I'm a Part Qualified ACCA with a year of audit experience w/ PwC. I figure that should give me some upper hand. But yeah, I've applied everywhere and heard nothing as of yet. I guess I'll have a better chance once i actually get there.

So if anybody has any ideas for a job, let me know. At this point, anything that pays ANYTHING will be great.

Another question: I'm applying from Malta and I have a Rez Permit for 6 months. I know its been mentioned that you can stay in a country for "Longer than 6 months." Will 6 months do?

Hi, I know you posted in nov 2009 which is around a year ago..i'm also a part qualified ACCA which i guess is a CA in canada..and i have a few years of experienced in mid sized firms..

wondering how your experienc is in finding a job in london..any luck?..would really want to hear your experience as i'm hoping to get a YMS and going to london early next year..

any info would greatly help..from a fellow cdn and accountant!

You won't find you get much response until you are here from any agencies and things aren't fantastic here in London work wise at the moment so agencies aren't as responsive as they used to be. The job section on the Guardian web site is a good resource.
