Finished TN, can I go right back as tourist for a month?

Post Thu Feb 15, 2007 3:56 pm

Hi, I just can't find information on this question. I completed a period as a TN worker in the US. I left the country on Feb 1, after two years. The TN expires Feb 18. I want to go to California for a month on Feb 20th as a tourist. Is this allowable? I know there is a limit to have long you can stay as a tourist. But does the TN stay count too? I don't want to get turned back at the border, possibly then to get this on my permanent record, and to be unable to be able to work again in the US. Am I just being paranoid? Or are there real risks here?

Thanks!
Ron

The TN visa doesn't count *against* you. You can come and go as you normally would be able to as a Canadian citizen.
