Forgot to disclose a 6 year old speeding ticket.

I submitted my application to the British high commision on Thursday... and I just remembered today that I received a speeding ticket 6 years ago. I totally forgot about this and wouldn't be too worried because I've heard if it's over 5 years ago its considered spent if no other incidences take place... unfortunately 4 years later I was charged with care and control. I was sitting in a parked car and was under the influence. I declared that of course but Im getting really really scared about not remembering the speeding ticket. How can I contact them to let them know? the last thing I want is to be refused because I failed to disclose... This has to be the most stressful time of my life, being separated from my husband and wondering when I'll be able to get back to the uk... ughhh I'm going crazy. Please help!

your speeding ticket isn't a criminal offence (unless it's an excessive speed ticket in which I believe falls under the criminal code) so I don't think I would worry too much about it. I received a speeding ticket for going 10 km/hr over the speed limit last October (and between anyone reading this I was definitely doing a bit more than 10 km/hr over the speed limit although I did have a good & important reason why I was speeding). Because of the nature of the "crime", my insurance company doesn't even know about the ticket. I therefore didn't include it on my application and my visa has been approved!

I would think that they would be more worried about things like breaking and entering, armed robbery, etc.
