Hey all you fellow Canadians!
Just wanted to say that I hope you are all enjoying your time in the UK. I lived in England last year, am home for the summer, but will be returning to England Sept 20th. I know some times I miss the Canadian accent and well. the open space.
I don't really have any questions or concerns. I just wanted to send out a huge Hello!

It's been great being home for the summer - although can't wait to get back to England - even if it means I have to search for another job (haha good luck to me in a tiny town!)

Hiya right back sdsharp hope your enjoying your summer. ours in England seems to be over now :( Smart cookie going back to Canada for summers. I miss the 3 months of sun & 30cel days, we got a taste of it for like 2 or 3 weeks here then blah rain/grey skies temps high of 18 if we're lucky. Mind you, I'm up North and people say London/southern England is much warmer/nicer weather.

Only a couple weeks to go and you'll get to enjoy it with us *lol* ;) Where abouts you going? London?

Yes 30 degree weather! It was like that today :D. Went to the stampeders football game (first game I've been to) and they won!

Now to answer your question.
I'll be in London for a few days when I first get back but I will be settling in Wakefield - tiny city in between York and Leeds.
Where abouts are you?

Wicked, you must be a good luck charm. (jealous about the 30 cel temps your enjoying *lol*)

I'm up Norf. half an hour north of Manchester city by car in a town called Bury.

York I've not been to, skirted past Leeds though on our way camping one year, only seen the motorways I'm afraid *lol* ;)

Well then, good luck on a safe and fun flight. would you mind terribly coming back on here after and letting us all know what the hand luggage & duty free restrictions were? I'm just worried about it since we are travelling back to Montreal for a few weeks in early October and don't know what to expect :S

Enjoy the sun while you can. get a nice tan to show off to all the English people and tell them you didnt have to pay for it in a shop, watch the jealousy build! *lol* ;) :D

Salut!

You will def. have to try to get to York at some point in your travels. It's one of my favourite places so far. I just think is a cool little medieval city.

About the hand luggage restrictions. I can answer that now. When my boyfriend came to visit he was allowed hand luggage but no liquids, gels or creams. He didn't buy anything duty free so I'm not sure about that area.

Enjoy your visit to Montreal!
