from medical appointments to us consulate (time ?)

Post Sun Jul 26, 2009 2:28 pm

Can someone tell me ... from the very last thing i have to do (my medical appointmens for myself and my 7 year old) to the U.S. consulate appointment when i get my Visa in my hand (god willing) after i pay my last fees etc ...

How long will this take aproxamitely? I was hoping for a
summer beach wedding, and time (because of money ) has been slipping by ...
anyone know ???
thanks so much for your help.
Lana

Which consulate are you going to for your interview? Processing times are different at each one. Could be anywhere from one month to 4 to wait for your interview after you send in your checklist. Then it takes them a couple of days to mail you your visas after that.

Thanks so much Reba ! one more question.. Am i right in assuming that after we are married in the US, i have to them pay aprox $1,000 (each?) for me and my 7 year old... for permanent resident card/status before i can even cross back over to canada? I woke up at aprox 3 am with this heavily on my mind.. yeesh... :?
