I have just gotten married to a UK citizen while on my WHM visa. I now have to submit the application for further leave to remain and I'm unsure how to proceed. I know that if I don't change my name in my passport and other supporting documents I can't have the FLR(M) in my married name. Where I get confused is that my WHM visa is in my name before marriage obviously. It's not in my current passport either as I had to renew my expiring passport back in February. When I travel now I just take both passports. Do I need to pay to have my visa changed to my married name and put into my current passport or will a letter explaining be sufficient? I just don't want them to send the application back because the names don't all match up. Our marriage certificate does show the same name for me as my visa does. Maybe that's enough? I may not have explained myself very well but if anyone knows the answer I'd love to hear it.

Also, does anyone know if there are restrictions on working with a FLR(M) visa?

Thank you!

Amy
