Get TN Visa and then come back to Canada same day

Hello,

Because I'd like to have my TN visa before resigning to my current work, I would like to go driving from Calgary to the nearest POE and then come back in the same day to resign and then take a flight with my Wife and daughter in two weeks.

Is this possible? Does anybody has experience with any POE near Calgary?

I would appreciate any help.

That is possible, I did that in May in Sault Ste. Marie ON. I drove from Sudbury, got my TN at the border, and drove back. Three weeks later I crossed the border with my family, got their TDs and continued on our way to Nevada. I wanted to make sure that my paperwork was in order before I got to the border with the family, dog and cat and a car load of stuff.
