Getting a Criminal's Record Check in Canada from the UK

I have been appointed in a position here in the UK, but before I can start, I am required to get a criminal's record check done from Canada for the past 5 years. Does anyone know how I can get one done whilst I am in the UK? I do not need a fingerprint check done, only a simple clearance search against the criminal database in Canada.

call a police stn where u used to live and ask them.thats what i did when i needed mine from toronto

yeah like the previous person said, you need to contact the police station in the city/town of your last residence. they will do a search of all the addresses you've had (changed docs) in the last 5 yrs. mine took 3 days to come in but in a bigger city like toronto it could take 2 weeks

You can do it within 24 hrs entirely online using www.mybackcheck.com. The results will be posted on their website, and then you just send a link to your employer. It’s easy, and it only took me ten minutes to go fill out the forms.

It is not like you have to stay there foreve.. get the job you can and then keep looking for another one.

A British CRB check should include Canada if you lived there within the last 5 years. Mine did - it took forever to get back though.
