Getting a TN @Sumas

Post Fri Jul 01, 2011 3:11 pm

Hi,
I am switching jobs from a big corp to a small start up in California as Computer System Analyst and need to get a new TN visa for my job. I tried Peace Arch and Blaine Truck crossing and got rejected because of my letter was not "complete". The company is sending me a new lawyer written letter and I was wondering has anyone tried to get their TN @ Sumas, WA POE? I am hoping they might be more "pleasant" to deal with than Peace Arch and Blaine Truck Crossing.

You should go back to Blaine or Peace Arch with the corrected letter.

To go to any other POE, especially in the same district is inviting an accusation of POE-shopping.

From your post it seems you tries twice already, so you are already on their watch list.

Can they accuse me of shopping around? When I got rejected the officer said that I need to comeback with the complete document he didn't mention that I have to comeback to the same place. Is there a rule that I have to go back to the same POE as long as I have all the proper documents with me?

You should go back to the same POE.

As I said, you are already on their watch list for at least 2 failed TN attempts.

You have the reputation of NOT having the right documents.
