I know this is probably asked all the time here, but every situation is different. I have been thinking of heading to the UK for an extended period of time, to stay and work etc. I'd like to get the best of whatever I would need to do this; visa, passport, etc. IE. if I could get a passport that would be best, and so on. Anyway, my situation is this:
I was born in Canada in 1985. My parents were both born in the UK, but I do not believe that they were citizens at the time of my birth (they had been here 8 years, I'm almost positive that they weren't). I understand that if they were citizens I could likely get a passport from what I've been reading on the official sites. But I'm working under the assumption that they weren't. Anyways, my grandparents are still UK citizens (on my dad's side, my mum's side grandparents have all died) and live in the UK. What would be the best option I could go with? I've read about something called an
ancestry visa, not sure about the specifics on that. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
