Auggy and the OP are different people however, with different circumstances.

Auggy just wants to go down for a few months and play game shows.

It's my fault....I should have created a separate thread.

Either way, if you show up with $100 and say you're staying for 3 months I doubt they'll let you in.

Auggy, just have a little patience and don't be in such a rush to migrate until ALL of your paperwork is finalized. I understand the urge to be with your loved one but it's really not worth it once CBP catches on to your "antics". And besides, seven months to a year waiting time will quickly zoom by before you know it. What you're proposing clearly states your intention to immigrate to the U.S. You really shouldn't risk it. Everything will work out once you do things logically.

Slight misunderstanding....the original poster and I are two different people. I just posted in this thread because, I wanted to go on vacation in the US too. My circumstances are different. I do not want to move to the US, I only want to vacation there for 3 months. I want to see if I can get on some game shows for fun, if not, I'm just going to relax in California. I was originally only going to take $100 with me and pay for everything else with my credit. I now understand this is a mistake. I will probably bring about $2000 US in cash and a bank statement saying that I have more. Hopefully this is okay?

That should do it, yes.
