I just got my new passport for going to Cuba in July. I am going to Texas/Louisiana later this week for 10 days and wondering if the US Immigration stamp in my passport will affect me in any way for my trip to Cuba in July?

Since you don't need a passport to get into the USA as a Canadian, I was thinking of just using my DL and BC as ID instead of my passport.

Any advice?

As far as I know it's not problem. Cuba shouldn't have any trouble with it, you're a Canadian citizen.

Canadians are one of the highest percentages of tourists that visit Cuba, so it'd be crazy for them to stop or inspect anyone just for having been or lived in the states.

I think you're good to go! And I'm very envious : )

Alright thanks, I will use my passport as it is the most accurate document I have to prove who I am.

Ya - I wouldn't worry about it.

If in doubt - I'm sure there's a Cuban embassy or consulate website (try a google search) that you can contact and ask to double check.
