It doesn't hurt. Most of it is stuff you will want to have with you anyways. Quite apart from crossing the border, I would want to have all paperwork related to a new job with me on the day I start the job--it presents a more professional image when you are filling out the routine paperwork at HR on the first day of work.

No, because the I-94 is multiple entry, but even so just in case they query you again it's not a bad idea to have the paperwork on you.
