Graphic Design TN

Hey everyone,

I've been browsing the forums for the last few days gathering information regarding my TN visa application. I currently live in Canada and will be receiving a job offer to work in Washington State. The company originally tried to get me on an HB-1 visa I believe but since I do not have a bachelors degree I am not applicable for that Visa.

I am applying for TN status and meet the requirements of the 2 years Diploma for Graphic Design, as well as 3 years experience in that field. However my question is, I am literally 2 months away from my OFFICIAL 3 years experience date. Is this going to matter? I can supply references from my places of work for the application. The ETA date for me to start work in Washington State would be Jan of 2011 anyways (Making it 3 years exactly).

I am also considering just taking care of the TN status myself and not having the company do it as I don't know if they have much experience doing it. I have seen recommendations for the tnexpert.com website on here. It looks straight forward and informative, has anyone had any experience using this or other services?

You will only apply for your TN days before you start work, so the 3 year experience will be met then. It is not met now.

Hiring a firm to download a form letter seems a waste in a straightforward case, and is insufficient in a compex case.
