H1-B Visa or Wait till get married with an American?

If I want to work in the U.S., is it a better choice to get an H-1B visa (which costs over $3,500) OR to get married with my American spouse first and then get the work permit?

Which eay is faster, easier, cheaper, and more appropriate?

If you wait to mary, it will cost you (a) the fees associated with that process, and (b) you risk not being allowed into or out of US for 2-3 months , and (c) you will still have to wait 2-3 months after wedding for work permit.

With H1, you can work as soon as it is apporved (which could be as little as 2 weeks), you are still free to travel after marriage, and will be working all this time with no pressure to marry just to get into the country.
