H1B: Return of I-94 for short trip (under 30 days)

Again I will say, The AIRLINE will normally take the I94 no what it says on it. It is NOT your fault if they take it, its their job. I have personally seen people argue until they were blue in the face with the airline, but in the end they still took the I94. This has nothing to do with CBP. Only at the Land Border do they actually read the I94 and let you keep it if it is still valid.

Actually I've noticed it more the other way around, you try to give them the I-94 and they refuse to take it.

It must be different at every airport. My saying this is based on the travelers at my Port. Its usually "they took it and wouldn't let me keep it" around here.

gescores I just hate when somebody spends their own money on an IL when they don't have to. But if they are paying, why not.
